Oh what did we do in the summer time...

This summer has been crazy, busy. It seemed like all we did was go, go, go everyday. It was so much fun and we had a blast wherever we were, thus not a chance to blog about anything. Here are some fun pics of some of our craziness. Hopefully now that Tennessee is back in school things will settle down and our somewhat normal life will return. If that is even possible with kids.

We celebrated Birthdays. Scott and the kids brought me breakfast in bed and gave presents that the kids wrapped themselves. Loved the cute cards and being smothered in hugs and kisses. Had a wonderful day!

Celebrated Tennessee's birthday (terrible I at least didn't blog about this) by taking some friends to the new Toy Story 3. We had cupcakes and ice cream and a silly string war afterwards. So much fun!

Tennessee loved one of him presents from his friend Ella and modeled them for us that night.

Addie had to model hers too. She preferred the bottoms for a hat.

We celebrated Father's day, a very special day! The kids frosted some "tie" cookies in primary and were so excited to help Dad eat them. Parker was a little sad he wasn't eating them and had to take a picture first.

We found baby Starlings abandoned in our yard for the third year in a row. This time two were still alive. After calling every shelter and learning how mean they were and that no shelter would take them we sadly let nature take it's course. The kids loved watching them for the 12 hours they lived and tried to make them as comfortable as possible in the "box nest".

We got season passes to Lagoon and went every chance we got. The kids all had a blast!! Parker wanted to go on all the rides and cried if he wasn't tall enough. He just wants to keep up with Tennessee and Addie.

Savannah and Addie on the Dragon coaster. Addie loved all the rides. She has no fear. Tennessee decided he couldn't be outdone by his sister and realized how "fun" the bigger rides were.

Tennessee on his favorite ride the "Bat". I was a little nervous the first time Scott took him on it (he seemed to little to ride a "big" roller coaster) but he loved it. We had to go at least twice every time we went. Luckily the good thing about season passes is going whenever you want, so we tried for the slow days which meant no lines. Now that's the way to go!

We enjoyed FIREWORKS!!! What is summer without smores and fireworks. Love it!! Parker playing with a glo ball waiting.

Scott enjoying Chocolate instead of the smore.

Ah, perfect summer evening!

Scott and I made and unexpected trip to Alaska for a dear friends funeral. We were grateful for Geri and Cody who took our kids when they had a crazy week themselves. Thank You!! We were able to attend the temple and do a sealing before catching our flight home.

We cheered Scott on during his races. This one is his favorite the "Spudman"! One year he is going to be able to train as much as he wants and place! He does soooo good for having three young kids and a wife that are so demanding :) Oh yeah and a hernia.

Tennessee looses his second tooth which leaves a big gap where his top front and side teeth should be. Loves to show off his new smile which makes me laugh every time I see it. I hope eventually they come in.

We go to the drive-in! What summer is complete without going there. We saw Despicable Me which was hilarious! Great family show and family time. Scott was showing the kids how many grapes he could stuff in his big mouth, it's a lot in case you were wondering ;)

We love FAMILY REUNIONS!!! This one was awesome. We rode a tube on a long tarp covering a hill. It was sooo much fun, I think the request is in to go there again next year. The kids went down over and over by themselves, except Parks of course. The good thing they could carry their own tubes up the hill. Wonderful day!

The kids play and play and sometimes you wonder about the things they come up with. Parker has decided that playing dress up is fun!

We play outside ALL day and enjoy popsicles at least three times a day. Tennessee prefers his popsicles in swim trunks swinging on the swing.

Scott and I go to HAWAII!! Have the best vacation and Geri and Cody watch our kids again! Another BIG thank you!! We really need to let them get out since so much of their summer was with our kids. Hopefully they will be taking a trip to Hawaii soon so we can return the favor. Scott and I at the Hawaii temple. Sadly it was under construction so this was as close as we got, still pretty. I could do a whole other post about that trip but don't know if I will. :( It was just a blast!!

Here are some cute pics of the kids while they were staying in Idaho. Geri and Cody made sure to capture all the memories for us while we were gone. I'm glad they had fun and hope they missed us a little. This is Parks loving Taz.

Here they are for a photo shoot in the wheat field.

We went swimming, ate popsicles, jumped on the trampoline, ran through the sprinklers, played lot and lots of games, sang silly songs, enjoyed reading days outside, enjoyed friends, lots and lots of friends and cousins. We slept in, watched movies, and enjoyed so much good summer food. These are just some of the many pics I didn't post because of the length this already is. In a nutshell summer was fantastic and I'm sad it's over. I'm so excited for fall and my favorite holidays that are coming up. I love where we live so we can enjoy all four seasons. Right now we are loving the beautiful fall colors, smells and pumpkin patches. Parker's birthday is finally coming up and the kids are ready for a celebration. Life is so good!!!

Parks turn

Ok, ok slowly I am getting this done. It has been such a crazy, busy summer but we are having a blast. It seems like we are always going somewhere and don't have time for housework or yardwork, but we are sure loving it! Here is some fun pics of our extremely funny and happy Parks. He thinks he is SOOO big and has to tag along with big brother and sis. They are all such good pals and sure love to tackle eachother and play. Here is Parks doing one of his favorite things....jumping off the couch. Tennessee started doing this at 18 months and Parker is following in his little footsteps which means I will have two very active boys on my hands. Good thing they are sooo cute :)

Addie's catch up!

Addie had her year end review with dance and did Smashing! She is such a cutie on stage. She has no stage fright and dances her heart out with a big grin on her face. She danced to "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" and Phineas and Ferb's "Gitchie Gitchie Goo". The costumes are the best part for her. She loves getting dressed up with "mommy's makeup" and I can never put too much on according to her. However I still like to have my four year old look like a four year old dancing so she doesn't get as much as she wants. If she did I would have a drag queen up there dancing :) Here are her adorable pics.

The surfer pose.

Waiting to go on.

The cute lion.

The BiGgEsT, MeAnEst ROAR!

Her Best Cheerleaders! Tennessee was such a good sport. While Addie was on stage waiting for the music to start Tennessee would yell "I love you Addie". She smiled so big it went to her eyes :) What a GREAT big brother!

After the "hit" performance we celebrated by getting some Farr's ice cream at the mercantile. The kids loved it and Addie was happy she got to keep her makeup on for the occasion (she can be such a girly, girl). It was a perfect night!

Addie also had her Preschool Graduation with all our neighborhood friends. It was perfect with cupcakes, a hat, and diploma. Addie did not like the hat since she had to wear her lion main for the dance recital. I finally got one picture with it on. When they received their diploma they got to stand on the picnic table and recite their favorite nursery rhyme. What cute kids! It's been a fun year!

Addie and Parker enjoying the cupcakes. They either had a diploma or graduation cap on the top, the kids loved them!

Catch up...Kindergaren Graduation

Whew, so a lot has happened the last 7 weeks or so and I haven't had a chance to blog about anything because at about that time I was called as our ward girls camp director. Well, girls camp ended this last week which means I have spare time on my hands and can FINALLY update my blog, woot! Here are all the details and in probably more than one post.

Tennessee graduated from Kindergarten, Wahoo!! He has had such a fun year of school and learned sooo much. He loved his teacher, class, friends, snacks, books, journals, bus, and....well, everything ! Next year will be very different with Mandarin Chinese, but he is already looking forward to it. Here are some pics of the graduation and end of year activities!

Tennessee was soo funny through his graduation. First he was measuring all the kids around him showing me that he really is the smallest kid in the class. Then he was making faces to pass the time of all the kids getting their diplomas. Then he was crying and sad because his name hadn't been called yet. Then he was excited and happy when they called his name twice (because he was playing again and didn't hear his name read) to go and get his picture with Miss Ashby and the anticipated diploma. Finally he was happy to take pictures with all his friends and eat all the yummy treats after. What a great day!!

And here's some fun end of year activities.

The Hula Hooping was Hilarious. I had no idea how good he was, he can move! This was at the Teddy Bear picnic. Dad even got involved, but I think Tennessee whooped him!

Drawing pics. This is of Buzz Lightyear's galaxy planet.

Field day, acting like a chicken.

The hoop race.

And returning from a much needed bathroom break.

I loved going to school and volunteering in Tennessee's class. It was so fun watching what the kids were learning and how they interacted in the classroom. I have been blessed with such a great boy! I am one proud mama, love you buddy!

Rooaarr

Addie had her first dance competition on Saturday and I thought she was such an ADORABLE lion. Check out the costumes and face paint, soo scary! She loves dancing on the stage and was counting down the days until her next performance since Christmas. The best part of the morning was receiving her medal or as she call it her "trophy". She did so good and all those little dancers were so stinkin cute! I love this age of dance, the kids do whatever they want on stage and it melts your heart. YEA Addie!!

We Love our Teachers!

This week is teacher appreciation week and the kids made the cutest cards for their teachers. Tennessee spent over an hour on his card and that is very rare for my boy! Since Tennessee was taking so long Addie kept adding more and more drawings to her card. By the time Tennessee finished Addie had covered every available space. They both couldn't wait to give the cards to their teachers today with some tulips from the flowerbeds.

Tennessee's card

I love what Tennessee wrote for his teacher :)

Addie's card

The morning after, ready to deliver the cards. I hope all my tulips in the yard don't disappear after this.
